It’s more imperative than ever for businesses to use marketing videos, be it for promotions, direct sales, information or inspiration. Video dominates the internet, especially social media, accounting for an estimated 80% of all online traffic. A 60-second video is worth 1.8 million words escalating the old axiom that a picture is worth a thousand words.
Making effective videos takes skill and practice but not necessarily an investment in thousands of dollars for video camera equipment. It’s been said that the best camera is the one you have and every one has a smartphone. With some instructions and guidance you can begin to make your won marketing videos with your iOS or Android mobile device.
To stand out and get noticed, you want to get more creative and harness the true potential of video as a story-telling medium.
In this 1/2 day workshop, you will learn:
* to shoot multiple short clips that when edited together, tells a story
* best production practices such as compelling compositions, and proper lighting
* simple editing with free apps for both iOS and Android
You will also receive an abundance of resources for accessories and apps you can use to extend the capabilities of your phone’s camera.
During the class you will write a simple script, shoot multiple video clips and edit them together. By the end of the class you will know how to create simple videos for social media postings,,,without ever touching a professional camera or computer.
